Application Requirements

We're looking for open-minded, responsible candidates who love children and are excited to experience Chinese culture.

You must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application.

Basic English Skills

Conversational English is required. Basic Mandarin is a plus but not required.

Childcare Experience

At least 50 hours of experience with children (babysitting, tutoring, camp counseling, etc.).

You must provide a national criminal background check from your home country.

You must be in good physical and mental health, able to live abroad for 6+ months.

No! Basic English is enough to communicate with most host families, and we provide free Chinese classes once you arrive. Many host families also want to practice English with you, so it's a great language exchange for everyone.

Standard contracts are 6 or 12 months. Candidates who choose 12 month contracts get extra benefits including a 3000 RMB flight stipend at the end of their stay. Many Au Pairs also choose to extend their stay for another 6 months if they and their host family are happy.

Absolutely! You only work up to 4 hours per day on weekdays, and have all weekends and national holidays free to travel or take classes. We also organize group trips for Au Pairs during long holidays so you can explore China with other international friends.

Your main responsibility is taking care of the children: playing with them, helping with their English homework, picking them up from school, and teaching them about your culture. You will only be asked to do light housework related to the children (like tidying up their play area) - you will never be asked to do general house cleaning, cook for the whole family, or take care of elderly family members.

We offer a free rematch guarantee. If there are any issues that can't be resolved through mediation, we will find you a new compatible host family within 2 weeks at no extra cost to you. Your safety and happiness are our top priority.

Our application is completely free! We only charge a one-time placement fee of 1500 RMB after you have successfully matched with a host family and received your Chinese visa. There are no hidden fees, and we don't get paid until you are successfully placed.
